Starting the day off right

I am not going to lie, yesterday was a pretty fucktastic day.  One of my coworkers was a no show and basically left us all in the lurch for payroll.  The worst part is she told her supervisor that she was going to do her portion of payroll this week and that I would take it over next week, I called her first thing in the morning around 10 am, she didn't return my call until 3 pm and guess what? Didn't do her portion of payroll. While this might not have been a problem at 11 am, at 3 pm, it stressed me the fuck out and I had an instant pounding headache.

Since I haven't done payroll in awhile, we have a few new people added as well as a few other VMS systems that I have to go into, back and forth emails to get passwords etc. and my phone blowing up all day long not allowing me to focus at all, really made me want to slam my head against the wall and to make matters worse at 4 pm, I was informed that the new company we acquired myself and a coworker are going to be responsible for all the administrative paperwork for it. Now mind you this company has 2 administrative assistants of their own, but for some reason because one of their administrative assistants gets "overwhelmed" with "change" (who the fuck doesn't?) we have to do it all, my question is? Why are these two employed? I don't want anyone to lose their job or anything as I know how difficult it is out there, but if you cannot do your job and I have to do it for you instead, so you don't feel overwhelmed, well fuck, I'll take half your salary added to mine and you can head out the door to the left. I'm not happy about this and it doesn't quite feel fair on my or my coworkers part. But whatever...I'll suck it up, but someone better be offering me an actual job soon because with this added portion which is HUGE, I'm not going to have much time to do the recruiting that I just spoke to my boss about adding to my days.

I went to bed at 10:30 pm, fully intending on getting up at 5:30, at 4 am when I woke up to pee, I thought fuck this, I am not getting up, so I switched my alarm to 6:30 and intended to just sleep and work out at the end of the day (not my favorite). But 5 am, wide awake, couldn't fall back to sleep so took full advantage and got up and did Les Mills Pump-Pump Challenge. Felt so good to get the blood flowing today early. I love that burn you feel in the legs with those squats.

Lunch today is a salad, with 1/2 avocado, 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds, 4.5 oz chicken, cucumber and squash and spicy mushrooms with an apple for a snack. I am bringing a granola bar just in case late afternoon has me crashing a bit. But I'm hoping the food will keep me sustained.

I just purchased chia seeds so I think they are going to go into my smoothie at dinnertime.  We'll see. I'm really trying to get more fiber, I find that when I add more fiber into my diet, I lose weight quicker and feel fuller.

I'm trying to look at the day in a positive way and hope that it doesn't disappoint.  I saw this meme today and just giggled...

The first time I saw you post Les Mills Pump, I read Les Mis Pump, lol. Guess I've seen too many movie previews!

Been there and done that with payroll. People really underestimate how much time payroll takes. I'm not just cutting checks here people! I'm cutting checks and documenting deductions and tax withholdings and your bank change and who has what vacation time left and if you have a deal with boss about your hours and who gets overtime or holiday pay or bonus and on and on and on! I vote that you get her job (if you want it) and she can have your temp job!
